Power of sharing...

Friends, here is something worth sharing!! In this Ted video, a girl- Hunter Kent, shares her life long struggles with shyness and depression. It was serious enough to make her think of self-harm at one point. Finally, one day, while in a youth camp, she takes the courage (she had no choice actually!) to share  her story and all her struggles with others. From that point onwards, her life changes dramatically. She starts helping other students. There was no therapy involved in her case. Just the act of talking and sharing. This does something to her mind- the way she saw herself, her life and her role in it - everything got transformed. Not only this, she becomes aware of what a great role she can play helping others. ( Watch it couple of times. Put the subtitles on. Very inspiring...)

This one is about benefits of regular meditation: a kind of mental exercise- minus religion, which can help you become happier and more fulfilled.

It was worth the time spent, and much more. It breaks our belief in stereotypes. Wisdom has nothing to do with age, sex, nationality. Our fellow human beings from the west are equally wise. Anybody can be our "guru" for this particular moment. Lastly, I meditated just after watching . thanks sirji :)

Yes- Abhsihek, THAT was the highest realization from Indian perspective: Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam..
But then, we forgot that and began monopolizing higher knowledge under one pretext or the other..Result was one millennium of downfall and oppression.

:) Let's respect wisdom, intelligence and good thoughts without caging them in the boundaries of nationality.

Yes. Nationalities seem to be just an 'after-thought', a geo-political construct...
