“...wanting change is step one, but step two is taking it.”

From the left Pramod,Sairam,Karthik,Lohith,Dinesh,Jitu and myself Nishil.
Special thanks to Akash, the photograpy prodigy :).
The Bangalore meet began at 10.00 AM in Cubbon Park.
Activities
Part 1: Discussion We were split into 2 groups ,one group consisted of non-vegetarians and the other of vegetarians. We got the hint it was about our choice of food and all were ready to defend their choice. But alas here came the masterstroke by dinesh , he made non-vegetarians defend Vegetarianism and Vegetarians defend non-Vegetaranism. The faces ready to spring at any moment were sulky suddenly due to the change in the rules. Slowly the debate started and the fun was on it was really a pleasant experience to fill in someone else’s shoes and get their thought process. For people to venture into new perspective this became the most simplest practical exercise. The creative right hemisphere of our brains were activated and the discussion ended heatedly.
Part 2:What would you pursue if?????
Once the platform was set for creative thinking, next came our aspirations and goals which we wanted. Again the catch was that Money and women(spouse) were to be excluded. As soon as these 2 things were taken off the table the responses got by each one were truly inspiring from teachers to social workers , there were so many different avenues we are interested in once the 2 things are ignored.
Part 3:Can you!!!!!!!
The third activity revolved around giving on the spot acts for us to perform like selling a Mr.India watch, selling chappals for 4 K, playing the role of sadhus etc. Using the opportunity to get out of our comfort zone to check how quickly we can adapt to changing circumstances. Most of the times we lay back when something new -exciting is happening. This begs us to ask ourselves can we do this, what If I fail. But we should step back because of there worries. As they say you cant learn to swim by reading a book , take a dip in water and your hands will start to beat automatically. Get out there and experience for yourself the pleasure and pain of living.
This shg meeting was  the last in Bangalore for  Jitu who is moving to Orissa, on work permanently, It was a pleasure having known you friend. You will always be a part of Blrshg. Wishing you a success in all your future endeavors from all of us.

Regards

Nishil
