M..m..m..m..m.. uffffff Machine.....

Hi folks, long time posting something here...but, i read the blog regularly and have a watch on things around here.

These days, i am trying to use BOUNCING technique liberally to acquire EFFORTLESS stammering.

It is paying me well too, my speech pattern have started to change with almost ceasing of other symptoms except eyes blinking.

But you know, as i always thinks, one problem sinks and 2 more are ready to shake you.

So, sometimes, this bouncing gets uncontrolled and i feel hard to utter the word even after more than 5 bounces.

As still, I haven't transformed my stuttering mindset completely, so, as the bouncing goes more than 3 times, i just started to bounce UNWILLINGLY.i.e. after 3 bouncings, i bounces with a resistance and the situation gets worsen.

This is the stuff that happens to me with a word,MACHINE....M..m..m..m..m..m..uffffffff  machine.

For a moment, i felt almost blank and terrified as if there is no way out.....

So, i just talked to Dr.Sachin, and then i tried volunteering stuttering with strangers with starting word to be started with alphabet "M".

Now, after almost 2 days, the struggle is still there with this word, but, somewhat intensity is less.

But, i have observed one thing from this incident; things are in real not as horrible as we presumes...

Even after 6-8 bouncings with strangers, only 20% people were laughing on me, and about 20% people ignored me, rest of 60% people had the passions to listen to me and answer me too..

So, it is not so BAD....

Ashish- thanks for trusting me! I heard the whole conversation thru your celphone.. as you spoke to those people on the road that night. I admire your courage. And this one quality, will see you thru all your tests in life, including stammering.. Also, do share about the promotion you have received recently and your first reactions to it..

Yes, very often the fears and the pre-notions are based on our own myths and assumptions. When we actually go out there and do things, that is when we realize the falseness of our thoughts. As you rightly said, it's not so bad after all :)
