News of Hyderabad SHG happened on June 3

Wow !!! We had a beautiful day:) We learned to push our limits with hope.
Members attended meeting are
1)Mr.Venkata ji(new) 2)Mr.Sugandh 3)Mr.Shashi Kiran 4)Mr.Aditya 5)Mr.Naman Anand 6)Mr.Neeraj Prabakhar 7)Mr.Pavan(new)  8)Mr.Rajesh

We gathered at JVR park as usually at 9am.
We thought to have Toastmasters club like activities in today's SHG meeting.
Initially we had introduction round where all members introduced in a humorous way. We enjoyed great humor played at tables. Pavan who is new member in group has shared his past experiences and he is confident enough to see a change in near days in his speech patterns.
All maintained slow speaking through out meeting.
Today Mr.Naman & myself are proposed to give "IceBreaker" speech(speech about our-self in detail)
As this is a Toastmasters club like activity Mr.Sugandh who is also a Toastmaster invited a senior Toastmaster Mr.Venkata ji as guest to review our speeches. He has been with TM club from past 6 years. He is one of the awesome guest we had in the meeting.
Firstly Toastmaster Venkata ji  has given a brief intro about himself and later Toastmaster Sungandh has started the event for the day.
First Mr.Naman has given his speech, we liked his speech very much where he gave good information about himself. Later i gave my speech followed by Toastmaster's great reviews, I am happy that TM Venkata ji has given good feedback to both of us :) He encouraged both of us and given good tips for our future speeches and congratulated us.
Later we headed to a near by "Visions Toastmasters club", as many members in group didn't visited it last time when few of us visited it.
As usually TM club is awesome and rocking, our members said its a great platform to increase public speaking skills.
So next time everyone is giving their speeches in SHG meeting. I am happy that all are giving their presentations. This week we didn't have many activities as we kept this week as an awareness on "IceBreaker" speech, so that our friends will get prepared speeches for next week.
I learned again "acceptance" in my speech patterns as i stammered while talking to two elder people.
Everyone in our group are doing their best, I am happy and recharged.

Few pics at TM club.

Together We Step Up :) Together We Succeed :)

And i also forgot to mention in report that in the "IceBreaker" activity, Aditya has been a grammarian and Neeraj is Ah! counter for all the Toastmasters:)
Everyone has got equal opportunity to talk. Like Grammarian has to speak about our grammatical mistakes and Neeraj spoke about number of times Toastmasters used "Ah" or filler words words in their speech.

@Mahipal---You missed it but you can give a same speech in next SHG meeting :)

@Sachin ji--Thank you :)
I stammered before two elder ladies in TM club but the per% of feeling bad when compared to past has decreased a lot.
I am happy for my acceptance level. Earlier when i stammer i use to think over it for few days that why i stammered and all :)

Yes, toastmasters is a great platform to challenge yourself. There is only one thing with toastmasters - its very very formal and only focused on perfecting oral communication. So its only a part of the solution. Use it with your regular SHGs because SHGs give you much more freedom to experiment and also sometimes to be just yourself and may be not even try to change (some of us need this at some point in our lives). A good mix of SHG and toastmasters can be very helpful

a SHG where everyone stammers provides a platform where you feel more at ease to share you past, your guilt, you shame stories, your personal experiences because you know others understand.
