Last sunday in Herbertpur

Siddharth and Mohit are two children facing speech issues: stammering and mis-articualtion. Last Sunday, I got them together in one group with Nisha, a girl their age but no issues. Nishu ofcourse was there to help me and also to learn. Nishu, BTW has passed class 12 from open school and joined college in Dak Patthar. He helps me with SHG and coming up as a facilitator. He comes from a PWS family.
As long as Mohit was alone, he spoke and stammered in a forward fashion.. The moment Siddharth joined his difficulties went up. I tried to break the ice between them. We told story - adding one line in turn. It was nice to see the creativity with which the three children added lines and gave the story a new turn. I tried to focus on just one skill for Mohit: stopping completely and stammering slowly in a forward manner. Parents of course were counseled much longer..
