Life is a Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word-
think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food-
think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife-
think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life-
think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children-
think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep-
think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive-
think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job-
think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another-
remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one Maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down-
put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.

And Before you complain about your stammering
think of someone who is dumb.

Yes, Mani- I read somewhere that "being thankful" does improve our physical and mental health.. I have often conducted an exercise with pws- I ask them to write a long list of the small or big things they could be grateful for, in life.. As they keep on working on this list, their attitude and thought pattern starts to change.. With "cognition" changes "behaviour"- and with that, speech too gets changed.. Only challenge is to do something like this every day or may be- every second day..
Thanks for posting a beautiful thought..

nice mani sir...a very new way to express acceptance , every pws looks his stammering as negative aspect ,he may add some positivity in it if he realize feeling or pain of dumb.

and this type of post is for every one whether pws or not
