TISA was established in 2008. But our family could not grow to 1000 despite the fact that in India there are more than 1 crore people who stammer. The reason - TISA is primarily based in website and the people generally don’t have access to internet. Thus we need to approach them directly to educate about TISA. The more we grow our movement becomes stronger.
Ritesh , Rajarshi and Dr. Sachin have made a poster about TISA which is given below. I request all PWS to paste at least 10 posters in their neighborhood e.g. School, College, Hospital, Park etc. towards awareness drive and give comments after doing so. I have already done so in our area park last evening. I believe this way we can reach larger mass.
“STAMMERING!!! STUTTERING!!! “HAKLANA”!!!
Is a Psychological and (or) Neurological Disorder pertaining to speech mechanism of human brain. Just like the problem of ‘Dyslexia’ highlighted in the movie Tarre zameen par, in which a child suffers from an “unusual” mental processing of images, stammering is an unusual way of speaking which may be described by properties such as Repetition, Prolongation or Blocks. The resulting speech may seem to be socially unacceptable and the stammerer may face humiliation. The embarrassment, fear or anxiety suffered by a stammerer may deprive him/her of very fundamental rights or may drives the person into depression.
If you stammer, or you know someone who does, then you are not alone. There are millions who stammers. By proper use of therapy techniques it can be controlled. The Indian Stammering Association (TISA) is one such place formed by Indian people who stammer (IPWS) for raising awareness about this problem through genuine knowledge. TISA’s Self-help group (SHG) initiative helps PWS to come along in different cities and “speak up” from their common-silent-background of struggle.
"Serving others unselfishly puts us in touch with our larger Self, which is the source of genuine communication and fulfillment"
Come on please do it.
May all beings be Happy.
