Hello Everyone...........
Attendance: Abhinav, Sairam, Dinesh, Shobhod, Anshuman,
Rohit (new member) and myself Chandan.
(Timings : 10-30a.m. to 1-30p.m.)
As per the schedule, Bengaluru SHG meeting started on warm
Sunday morning. Dinesh has come back
from his long holidays and SHG meeting was once again headed by him. The meeting kicked off with the slow reading
exercise for 15-20 min. Next, we played small game – where the entire member
sat in round circle. One person will spin the pen and when the pen stops - to whosoever
pen is pointing, that person have to give the Answer for audience questions or
enact the audience wishes. It was an interesting game. One of the member were
asked to sing a song, another member did actually danced for the ‘chamko chalo’
song and one of the member did the mimicry
of another Bengaluru SHG member. It was altogether fun filled round and we got
to see the various talents from all the members.
Later, we had introduction session. Members gave a brief
introduction and also each member was asked to talk about himself for 10 min.
It can be about anything, your stammering, your dreams, your future career
plans, etc. Today, we had new member
Rohit. We welcomed him and we hope he will attend the meetings every week in
future. Introduction round took quite long time than expected, as members
openly shared about them-self and quite often the members are indulged in the
discussions. Some of the hot discussions were about artificial intelligence of
the computer, about various food cuisines and about music instruments. And i got to know a little bit about IT field work environment.
Then we had prepared speech round. As we had less attendance
today, only two speakers gave the speech. I gave speech on “What do you want to
say?” – About human interpersonal skills. Next Dinesh gave speech on “The
Alchemist.” He talked about the book The Alchemist and explained the importance
aspects of the book. It was an amazing narration. The final message was Dare to
dream, Don’t stop until it is achieved, give your best shot. Everyone has
special purpose in his life, we just have to recognize it and follow the path.
Today, we had decided to enact a Short Play instead of the impromptus speech.
Short play titled “Taxi driver” – it is scripted with light humor Each member
took up role and played it on. As it was unprepared play, next week we decided
to come prepared for the play and each member has been assigned with the role
and we will enact it out without looking into the dialogues. So next week it’s
gone be short play time – starring all SHG members.
Today, we had the less attendance
in SHG compared to previous meetings. But it turns out that each member got an
ample of good opportunity to speak up. Dinesh
shared the brief biography of Ambedkar – his struggle in the life. He pointed
out that Mr.Ambedkar converted his weakness and fear into his greatest
strength. That’s how we stammer should think and act in our life, towards
positive thinking .
“Life should be great rather than long.” ……… with that note we winded up the meeting.
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome to improve quality
of meetups. Please mail me at chandan.rvce@gmail.com or to Abhinav - abhinav.singh8@yahoo.com
