THE NEW EARTH

I just finished reading "The New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle. I think, second time. Felt deeply touched. He drops all the pedantic and superfluous details and shares the very essence of Budhist and Christian truths, while putting forth his own philosophy and REALIZATION. Yes, he is writing only about those things which he has realized himself- no dogma, no beliefs. In a nutshell, it is: when you become alive to the present moment, forgetting past and future (which exist only as a thought form in our head)- you become truly creative and live your fullest potential. This happens when you are able to step back from your intellect (=ego) and become aware of your "tninking". In other words- your awareness and your thinking gets seperated. You are able to see, even if momentarily, your SELF as separate from your thoughts (I must have this or that..).

He uses a very modern and easy simile to explain this thought: You are the Space- your thoughts are the Content occupying the space. When the Space is no more identified with the Content..when you become aware of your self as Awareness and your thoughts as mere content- AHA- that is flowering of consciousness; That is what we are born for: our inner purpose. Now, what we are doing outwardly, is the OUTER purpose. When their is an alignment between INNER & OUTER purpose- you transform yourself as well as the EARTH.

Such awakened people will be in harmony with the entire creation (environment, species, people, cultures etc.). They will be at the vanguard of a silent but steady flowering of humanity: the new earth. Yes, even I, a very ordinary person, can see that happening all around, thanks to Mr Tolle! Highly recommended to those pws who are trying to run a SHG.. (get the pdf)
