For Teachers

When I was a child, teachers to me, were like Gods on earth. I was small- they were BIG. But of course sometime they were quite disappointing! I think there are two reasons. A teacher does not get the same respect and privileges as a doctor or bureaucrat today, even though the work s/he is doing of equal importance- hence most of them have a poor opinion of themselves and their work. Second, quite often a teacher simply does not know what to do in a given situation- like when a child is stammering in a class and everyone is getting distracted (or hysterical!) or when a child is being bullied. It appears that societies in west have given much thought to these issues and have a systematised body of knowledge on this; check these links on stammering in class room and bullying.

And If you can, take a print out and give it to some teacher..
