Stammering At Leisure.

Two months back I was waiting for a train at Lucknow Charbagh Railway station by which my niece was coming. Train was an hour late and I had to wait. I didn't had to do anything so I just walked in waiting room and found many people like me there, I thought I cann't find a better place than this for advertising us. It was most adventurous thing I did alone, at such moments excitement always at peak because neither your listeners know who are you and why the hell you just grabbing their attention? Nor you know how they are going to react. But I just started speak, I talked about stammering, TISA, our SHG, why I'm talking to strangers etc. Some were interested and some weren't. I faced I lot of questions but I alone was capable to answered them. A guy asked " What you'll get from it?" I smiled and said bro I'm getting from you what I wanted. In mean time I was continuously ignoring a call without noticing caller. From the irritation I attended the call. Why the hell are you not picking the phone? I'm waiting at platfrom no. 3 from 10 minutes with luggage. Came voice from the other side. Suddenly I got my conscience and rushed towards platfrom no. 3 left some people unanswered and with a thought I was here for an other purpose. Indeed I was at my best and It was quite interesting to answer people and listening them. On our way I was totally satisfied from the my work but she (niece) was totally unsatisfied from the same.

As Dr Sheehan explained using Stuttering Iceberg example, almost 99% of "stammering" consists of inner, psychological issues (fear, guilt, shame, anxiety etc.). What you did is the best way of dealing with these issues: talking to strangers. Keep walking this path and keep sharing. Thank you, Pramod!
