Civil service 2015 all india topper- :>is a girl, is differently abled and this was her 6th attempt

Friends, this year Ms Ira Singhal is All India Topper of UPSC Civil Services examination. She is differently abled, and she has created history by becoming the first differently abled person to top the civil services exam. She suffers from scoliosis and this was her sixth attempt. She wants to join IAS and do something for differently abled people.

I am sure all of us would have felt  sometime or the other that had we not  stammered , we would have achieved much more in our lives. This is  "Giant in the chain syndrome".

Ira's story should have been similar to ours, or even much more challenging. We sometimes try to hide our stutter, we sometimes act to be normal speaker. But for Ira, it would have been total acceptance of her physical condition.
So can we take some inspiration from this young lady and push our limits?Who knows, some pws may top the civil service exam someday, and announce in front of national press  that s/he would like to do something for people who stammer.:)

truely inspirational...and forget not that she got selected for IRS in 2010 but was not given appointment on the basis of being physically challenged and after a long fight with "system" she was given appointment in 2014...
and if I'm not wrong there was a guy in TISA WHATSAPP group who got selected for IRS in 2014 and he should come forward and be an inspiration...
and I think physically challenged sound more appropriate than physically handicapped....

Thanks Ravikant for the additional information and suggestion, I have replaced handicapped with challenged. "Challenged" is more appropriate and dignified word than "handicapped"

yes, now a days, they prefer "Rape Survivor" than "Rape victim",,
Words have a psychological and political power, which we may use wisely!!
thanks everyone!
