Hello to All....Hope u all are doing well :)

Today i have given a Presentation....and it was really BAD...!!!!

But one good thing is that i came to about various factors that influence my stammering.......!!!
A day before presentation i practised it and also i had given in front of my friend....at that time i got little stammering but was good as per me and as per my friend as well...!!!

So, I compared both the situations..........

While practising in front of my friend....... i found that my Heartbeat was NORMAL and i was CALM becoz of that i stammered less...!!!

And

When i actually presented in front of the class.... i found that my Hearbeat INCREASED suddenly(may be becoz of the faculty and the students present) and simultaneously after starting presentation LEVEL OF ANXIETY also INCREASED...and which lead to a lot of stammering..!!!

So, MY QUESTION TO THE EXPERTS AND EXPERIENCED PEOPLE is...

How to Increase the Level of Anxiety while practising??????.....means when we r comfortable IS THERE ANY WAYS TO INCREASE THE ANXIETY LEVEL ????
....becoz ultimately we have deal with it and should know how to tame it.........becoz as i think Anxiety is the Biggest culprit for stammering in all of us...!!!

Superb question!, I second ur research!!
Following may help u increase ur anxiety!!
1) Practice in front of not 1 friend but include few more during practice. We call it shg!
2) Try to audio/video record during practice this increases anxiety..
3) There is still lot room for improvement even when u practice with friend/s.. Keep doing it often.. to go one level up even in ur comfort zone!

Agree with Dinesh. Do what frightens you again and again...be a little "besharam"..

Mukesh, I have gone through similar situations. Always remember stutterer has more oppurtunities to practice as we are required to speak frequently. You remain silent only when you are alone otherwise not.
First thing is level of anxiety goes up with both stammerers and non-stammerers during the presentations.

Second thing is aim to speak with less struggles than being outright fluent. If possible speak up with your professors about stammering and talk about this in hangouts(cafeteria, gupshups ) and make some fun of it intentionally, take clues from Nescafe ad's closing line ra-ra-Rishi.
The thing is, when your stammering identity is no longer concealed by you, it will facilitate better presentations and will help you feel "jhakkasss".

Thankss @Dinesh for ur suggestion and i'll follow them truely..!!!

But as far as practising with frnds is concerned....Actually i'm involved in Group discussion everyday for about half or one hour.....and at that time also my anxiety level increases while counterattacking or putting up my points....so, i want to learn how to control anxiety at that time also????
That's biggest challenge for mee...!!!!

agree with Dinesh sir and I have experienced one thing that beginning of speech and beginning of believe at that moment is very important simultaneously coz state of mind is really a root of everything what we do in each and every situation.

Mukesh, for 6 months focus on how good n valid your points are as compared to others.. And that you complete each point you have no matter what.. This will bring down anxiety n make you a better communicator.
