Bangalore SHG Sep 28, 2013 meeting report

“Aap logo go sayad Andhere main rehene ki aadat ho gai hai”
When I entered in the room. I heard many chitchatting. But I saw there was only few PWS. And sudden thought came why guys are not coming to SHG? Are they accepted that they are fine with their problem? We were only six in the session today (Dinesh, Avnish, Nishil, Sharath, Prashant and Akash {me}).

Yesterday I was watching a movie “Swadesh” Sharukh Khan’s movie. I think you people also watched that movie. In middle of the part he told to villagers about electricity “Aap logo go sayad Andhere main rehene ki aadat ho gai hai”. The same thing with those people also who are not coming to SHG, please come and when you come to SHG then you can see the “Blue sky without black clouds”.
“You don’t know the power of SHG” those words from Dinesh. I really appreciate because I saw the live example of Dinesh who is now confident and good speaker.
Today’s Activities:
  • Introduction round
  • General discussion
  • Dinesh taught some good things I am pasting below,
Things which are in our control
Things which are not in our control
Attitude
Auto wala , bus conductor, railway station ticket counter and may more
Confidence and many more.

Confidence comes from Knowledge, transparency.

At last the class was over and we moved to our nest.
And I am really thankful to TISA group and Bangalore SHG members who gave me the opportunity to stand in front of many people and share my thoughts.
Thanks,
Akash

Yes, Abhinav, SHG has a good effect on pws but SHG does not have appeal and persona of a Madonna or Lady Gaga! Also, SHG has never approached us with a Media Blitzkrieg!
SHG is like a low key but profound actor - something like Nana Patekar or Morgan Freeman..
You need to persist for sometime, in order to appreciate the slow but enduring changes, induced by SHGs.. Yes, Dinesh, JP, Mani, Rajesh- and many more are truly good examples..
You keep at it- brace yourself for a marathon..Results will trickle in slowly..

Quite an aggressive invite/reminder/teaser for those who are generally part of SHJ meets !!

Personally i am not not able to join the meets because i am preoccupied with my practice sessions of snooker which lasts for 5 hrs a days on weekends ..i have been given an opportunity to play @ KSBA too !!

Anyways @ Akash : " Jodi tor daak shune keyu na ashey , tobe akla cholo re "

" Jodi tor daak shune keyu na ashey , tobe akla cholo re "

translated from Bengali it would mean - If no one comes to join you even after you have called out ..then walk alone..Its a bengali patriotic song written by Rabindranath Tagore ..the song recently was recited by Amitabh Bachhan in the film "Kahani"
