I was born in an era much after Gandhi and Independence. I read of him only in history books. Recent events gave me a glimpse of what it must have been like when Gandhi walked this land in flesh.. what it must have been like when the nation responded to his call for peaceful non-cooperation against a regime which ruled three quarters of the world..
I make no comparison among the two individuals. That would be foolish and probably unfair to both of them. I only talk about getting a glimpse.. of what sincerity can achieve even in this day and age. Hats off to such sincerity- from all of us in TISA!
I have been watching the news, the discussion, the negotiations and the reactions. How have we responded? Intelligentsia of the land was rather dismissive- finding some or other fault with the man and the movement. Some "intelligent" commentator calling him "Gandhilite"- just imagine! Politicians of course were inimical on one pretext or the other (for obvious reasons) and there were some who tried to dilute or de-focus the whole thing for concerns which could have waited..
Message for us: Never hang on to "limiting" beliefs: Oh, this cant be done- not now. No one cares. Why bother? Time and majority is against us. Let us try it some other time.. etc. etc.
Have faith in yourself and be SINCERE.
Last, I must change before the world does...

Yes!!! We should also learn from current affairs. This Anna's Ansan proves all odds wrong. Every new phenomena wants maximum efforts from us. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats for the great write up Dr. Sachin. One of the main cause of increase in corruption in society is that everyone expects others to change first, instead of changing him first. One wants to remain in one's own comfort zone.
The dragon of corruption can only be won by believing in : THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION STARTS WITH ME.
A common man has done a wonderful thing and showed to us that there is a path to overcome ANYTHING. Let's learn whatever the lesson from him and apply it appropriatly in our life. Good write up Dr.Sachin.
