I think lack of self- confidence, fear of judgement, self-doubt and over self- consciousness often does result in poor speech to a stammerer. We need to have this attitude:
“I don’t care what others think—I can say what I want to say.”
Stammering is a negative habit, which can be cured by building positive ones . How do we build up positive habits? That is why we have SHG. SHG is the company of like- minded people. They are walking on the same path as you so they can be honest with you and support you. They can be kind with you. To build a positive habit you have to consciously substitute a negative habit with a positive one. It is the practice of cutting a negative habit with a positive one. This is how to control the mind. With practice doing this substitution of habit, you will become more and more successful. For doing this process it’s best to be with like- minded people.
