Today again I had to make an official phone call . I dialled a landline number of Delhi. A lady picked up the phone. I started Hehehelo... Then block... Only air coming out from mouth, no sound!
The lady disconnected the phone. I dialled the number again(. TISA join करने के बाद मै बड़ा बेशर्म हो गया हूं ! I dont give up easily.)This time I said hehelo.. Mmmam , Pra....shant से बात क क रनी है .She said Prashant is not in office. Then I told her the issue being faced in our telephone exchange.I stammered ans still i was able to communicate the issue to her. She told she would check and call back. She called after sometime and gave me a landline phone number of ambala. I called there , a person picked up the phone. I told him, Hello, "Shishishimmla se bol raha hun". Then i told him the issue. He told he would call back.He called back and the problem was finally resolved. I was happy.
So I observed that while making a phone call to a stranger, there can be two situations.
First, there may be total blockage, with some faint sound. Here the other person may feel something is wrong with the signal, and (s)he would disconnect after sometime.
Second , when we are able to say the starting few words with stammering.
Here I feel we need not convey to the person that we stammer. He would already know by then.
So if the person is patient , he would listen. If he is of impatient type , he would disconnect the call.

@Abhishek..
a good communicator has total control over his language..he can literllay juggle with word and phrases..and that art form could come to a stutters aid emensly..
who says..that ypu have to start with "Hello" when you call up..
you have other options ..
1) Hi , my name is abhishek..
2) Good morning..my name is abhishek
3) The name is abhishek..and i wd..
4) I am calling from shimla..
5) Mam good morning..
6) Is this the office of .....
7)Could you put me on to...
8)Patch me on to..
9)Please connect me to..
10)Is this 000000000
then you can be cheerful while calling..with a bounce....or show some other mood through your tone..their are zillions of ways to start a conversation dude..
lets experiment with the language..be creative..
Perfect! There is a saying: stammering is like a BOG. There are many paths leading to this bog- and there are many paths leading out of it! So, yes, you must keep on experimenting BOLDLY to beat your OWN path out of this bog.. and keep sharing!
Thank you!
Good practice. Thanks Abhishek.
