JOBS...

It is an discussion on ‘Stutt-L', a google group related to stammering, with the headlines – Jobs, where the members (mostly PWS) shares their views about their experiences and beliefs on job opportunities and working conditions for PWS.

By seeing the discussion board, I can figure out a bunch of members exchanging multiple views; the number of members hardly reaching 2 digits.

Few members shared their own real life experiences where either they struggled through number of interviews to get a decent job or they were asked to exit their then-jobs. In the former case, they were directly given the feedbacks regarding their different speech for rejection, but in latter, they were fired with some reasons such as non suitable personality for the desired jobs indirectly pointing their stammering for the termination from job.

But the point is – they all got jobs sooner or later and are enjoying quite well their jobs and they all believe that – THE SHOW MUST GO ON… few members revealed the very fact that they have de-sensitized a lot from the negative emotions regarding stammering, still, some times they feel mightily sad and depressed over some incidents related to their different speech.

“Whatever may be the conditions, they are bound to depart….so just flow with life”
