Neha was going to her maternal town after almost 3 months along with her husband, Hitesh. But it was a sad trip. She just had the news of martyrdom of Captain Vishal, her next door neighbor. Vishal’s family has been their neighbors since a long time; He died during fighting with terrorists in Kashmir, a very disturbed state of India.
On the way , sitting in car with Hitesh, she was thinking about Vishal with her eyes closed & head resting on Hitesh shoulders .Hitesh was trying his best to drive with giving utmost comfort to Neha; he was not trying to crack odd jokes or doing naughty things, as he used to do everytime Neha had been alone with him in the car.
Life have taken a U-turn in Neha’s thoughts; she was thinking of her college days when Vishal was her classmate as well as her secret love interest too about which she never revealed to anyone.
Vishal was a lively guy; always smiling & cheerful. He was clear minded about his career as an army man. He was very serious about his preparations for Army recruitment exams so he never bothered about his studies during her post graduation. Sleeping in the class & giving a big smile every time the teacher caught him was a routine thing for him. She can still remember very clearly how Vishal used to make even the teacher smile along with all the students on his silly things during the class; he used to take his life so lightly.
Neha & vishal were very good friends during those college days; they used to greet each other daily, but Neha travelled a lot in this relation getting in fall in love with vishal, but she always believed that Vishal doesn’t have any such feelings for her. She never revealed her thoughts to him, fearing that it might hurt their relation as friends.
Neha & vishal used to visit each other’s homes very frequently as vishal was a good friend of neha’s brother.Sonia, Vishal’s sister was the only one who knew about neha’s feelings for Vishal. Though she didn’t force neha ever to reveal her feeling to vishal, but she used to tease neha infront of vishal for him to notice, but everytime he reacted casually. Continued...........
