Today's meeting has shown the depths of acceptance in all members.
Members who attended today's meeting are
1.Naman 2.Mahipal 3.Pavan 4.Neeraj and 5.Rajesh (myself)
Today's meeting started with explanation of how sound is produced in human body as we had a new member Pavan.
The air which we inhale is important in producing sound.
For producing quality sound taking good amount of air while inhalation is a must and articulators play a important role in our speech.
Later we all discussed what is stammering and what could be causes of stammering.
If we address improper breathing process and decrease anticipatory fear we can control speech patterns.
For improper breathing process we practiced breathing exercises like Anulom-Vilom pranayam and Kapalbhati. For decreasing anticipatory fear we practiced Voluntary Stuttering.
We realized how practicing in peer groups like Self Help Groups is important and is life changing.
Later we practiced meditation and concentrated on our breath. When our thoughts are void we had concentrated on our goals. We just enjoyed the company of winning and realizing our goals rather than the methods of reaching them. In doing this we have a clear picture of what we needed. Creating a self positive image is so important for realizing our dreams and goals with ease.
People are very confident enough after the meditation so we had introduction round where we closed eyes and delivered the speech.
Before signing off we all discussed about Coorg National Conference and its journey action plans, everyone has come up with their own ideas where we can add much fun in the journey on our way to Coorg :)
We left for homes with a positive note "Stammering is not a disorder it is just another way of speaking". This should be a mantra in our minds forever.
Together We Step Up :) Together We Succeed :)
